DOUGLAS FIR

Douglas fir is an excellent softwood that produces a moderate amount of heat, is easy to ignite, and burns cleanly. Compared to other softwoods and even some hardwoods, Douglas fir has a higher total heat content, making it one of the best choices for firewood. In addition to its high fuel efficiency, Douglas fir gives off a wonderful pine aroma when burned, adding to the cozy atmosphere around holiday fires.
