“Lead Crescent Wrench” - Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Dirt Hugger uses front end loaders, compost turners, dump trucks, skid steers and more to create and deliver world-class organic compost made from recycled materials. We need an energetic, experienced, and exacting person to lead our equipment maintenance and repair program. We built a new shop this year complete with new tools and support systems.

“Prep Chef” - Pre-Processor & Lead Groundskeeper
We run a nine-acre compost and soils manufacturing business that receives and processes an average of 150 tons (350 yards) of compostable materials per day. Each cubic yard of material needs to be pre-processed for product cleanliness. This involves using heavy equipment to turn piles while grounds crew members pick out contamination from the material. Additionally, this role will track and monitor contamination for customer feedback. Over time, we hope that you will help us design a process to guarantee contamination removal from all inbound loads - at 150 tons/day that’s a lot.
This role will be primarily outdoors in all conditions and in compost. We will train the right candidate to run heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders and excavators. You will be addressing our #1 challenge in the business, which means the job will be challenging, yet rewarding if done well.
If this sounds interesting and you think you would be a good fit to our team please email letter of interest and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
